The CHAOS Collection is an expressive manifesto that questions everything related to the entrenched norms of the current fashion world. Behind the beauty of fashion lies immense cruelty and difficulty, where the entire fashion system seems to be settled, and large brands dictate the rhythm, leaving the smaller ones in the shadows. If fashion truly devastates the environment and human labor, why should we go along with it? Consumer culture has become immensely wasteful, and the system is in complete chaos.
CHAOS envisions a world where art, nature, and craftsmanship are truly valued. The collection embodies chaos in the creation of patterns, the intertwining of different structures, and the correctness of cuts. It also contemplates what “ready-to-wear” fashion should be. Does it have to be made quickly and cheaply? Does wearability mean basic cuts and monotony? Or what if ready-to-wear garments could carry soul, story, and craftsmanship, created with true attention and time?
The collection is knitted by hand on a knitting machine. The products are fully fashioned, making the creation zero-waste. Mostly, 100% merino wool is used, with a bit of 100% lambswool as well.
